Mr. Rosen is a skilled trial attorney licensed in Oregon and Washington. He has tried cases to juries in Oregon, Washington, and California and argued matters in Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, and Nevada.

In addition to holding a law degree and being a member of the bar in Oregon and Washington, Mr. Rosen holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Systems and Control Engineering. He began his career as an engineer working for the U.S. Department of Commerce, providing engineering analysis to lawyers and policymakers in the Executive Office of the President. Law school followed, and since graduating from law school, his practice has included airplane, helicopter, hot air balloon, trucking, automobile, bus, train, and other accident work, product liability claims, construction claims; and general trial matters, with much of his work involving engineering or technical issues of some degree.

He began his legal career in Chicago, working in a large law firm, before moving to Oregon where he joined Miller Nash in Portland. He became a partner and member of the Executive Committee and served as Chair of its Hiring Committee and Computer Committee. After spending 20 years with that large law firm, he founded The Rosen Law Firm, P.C. in 1997.

In addition to his law firm work, as an adjunct professor, Mr. Rosen taught Conflicts of Law to law students at Lewis & Clark Law School, where his work was recognized by awarding him its Leo Levenson Distinguished Adjunct Professor Award.

Mr. Rosen has been an active contributor to the work of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation, having served as Chair of the Aviation Litigation Committee, Director of Divisions, member of the Section’s Executive Committee, and Co-Chair of the Legal Services Training Committee. He has also served as Chair of the Oregon State Bar Aviation Section.

Mr. Rosen has been asked by national and state bar associations, law firms, law schools, insurers, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Judicial Conference, and the U.S. Air Force to teach trial tactics, trial strategy, and legal ethics and has done so in 38 states to thousands of lawyers. His programs have twice been designated Presidential Showcase Programs by the American Bar Association.
